Students with disabilities and special requirements
Priority Allocation for Students with Disabilities:
Students with disabilities, medical conditions, or specific needs will receive priority during the allocation process once they have contacted the Wellbeing and Disability Service and provided the necessary information to the accommodation team.
How to Apply:
- Apply by 1st August: You can apply regardless of whether you hold an Unconditional, Conditional, Insurance, or Clearing offer.
- Provide Details of Your Requirements: Clearly outline any specific support you need—such as an en-suite, a medication fridge, adapted facilities, or specific accommodation locations. Be factual and specific about your required adjustments.
- Submit Supporting Information: Only the information provided at the time of your application, along with recommendations from a medical professional, will be considered when allocating rooms. We begin allocations in February for students with unconditional offers, so we cannot accommodate new information after this point.
Additional Assessments:
If equipment or specific adjustments are needed, we may request an Occupational Therapist’s report to confirm the exact requirements. The accommodation team will inform you if this is necessary.
