Terms & Conditions - Local Student Offer

1 Term Offer (September – December 2025)

  1. Eligibility

    • This offer is available to local students only (home address within approximately 40 minutes’ commute of Swansea, SA postcode area).
    • Applicants must be registered Swansea University students for the 2025/26 academic year. 

  2. Contract Length

    • The contract is for a fixed period of 13 weeks (September–December 2025). 
    • The start and end dates will be confirmed in your offer of accommodation. 

  3. Rent

    • Rent is £150 per week.
    • All payments must be made in line with Swansea University Residential Services’ standard payment schedules. 
    • The rent includes all utilities (gas, electricity, water, internet). 

  4. Accommodation Location

    • Rooms will be allocated at either Bay Campus or True Swansea (City Centre). 
    • Room type and location cannot be guaranteed and will be allocated at the discretion of Residential Services. 

  5. Induction and Arrival

    • Students must complete the online induction prior to check-in.
    • Standard arrival procedures apply, including key collection and ID verification. 

  6. No Early Release 

    • This is a fixed-term contract. 
    • Students are not able to withdraw early from the agreement or transfer to another accommodation contract during the 13-week period. 

  7. End of Tenancy 

    • Rooms must be vacated by the tenancy end date stated in the contract. 
    • The standard Residential Services departure process applies (room inspections, return of keys, cleaning requirements, and deductions if applicable). 

  8. Behaviour and Conduct 

    • All residents are subject to Swansea University’s Residential Services Regulations and the University’s Student Charter. 
    • Breaches may result in disciplinary action and/or termination of the contract. 

  9. Other Conditions 

    • This offer is for September–December 2025 only and cannot be extended beyond the fixed period. 
    • Students who wish to remain in accommodation beyond December must apply separately. 
    • By accepting this contract, students agree to abide by all standard Residential Services terms and policies. 

  10. Applications after 5th September 

    • Applications for the Local Student – 1 Term Offer are for student applying after 5th September 2025 will be considered subject to availability. 
    • Residential Services reserves the right to close the offer once all allocated spaces are filled.
