When did your passion for football/sport begin?
Ever since I can remember, my parents and family weren’t into football but I just took to it and started playing when I was 3
How did your career start in sports broadcasting?
Long story short I started volunteering at local radio and newspapers at home in mid Wales when I was 16. When I came to university I did student radio and the newspaper too, alongside community and hospital radio. I mainly worked on my presenting but also sports writing and broadcasting. I also did loads of work experience all over the place including Sky. I was 21 when I got a job in local radio and presented a sports show there and also covered Cardiff City and Swansea City games. I started at Sky Sports in 2014.

What has been your best highlight or moment working in sport broadcasting?
A few spring to mind- bringing back the champions league trophy from Switzerland to Cardiff on a private plane with Ian Rush was amazing! Also covering the mad game of Aston Villa 5 Nottingham Forest 5!
Have you got any plans or ambitions for the rest of this year?
Right now just to get back to work as and when it is safe to do so!

You graduated from Swansea University in 2011, how has your degree helped you during your career?
We did a module on broadcast which was useful. Just being in the university environment massively made me grow up and decide what I wanted to do for sure, especially with the radio station and newspaper. I loved my time in Swansea!
What advice would you give a graduate who is looking to start a career in sport?
Try to get as much work experience as you can, that way you gain contacts and knowledge along the way too. And just be yourself!
