Menna’s career has been in broadcasting, as Controller BBC Cymru Wales and Managing Director HTV Wales ( now ITV)
She has also been a non-executive director of several organisations in business and the arts including Glas Cymru ( Welsh Water); Principality Building Society, Welsh National Opera and The ALOUD Charity where she was chair. She is a Vice-President of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where she was also Chair of Governors and is an Honorary Fellow.
As well as her Honorary Doctorate from Swansea University she is an Honorary Fellow of Cardiff, Aberystwyth, Lampeter and Wrexham universities and holds an Honorary Doctorate from the University of South Wales. She has been awarded an OBE for services to broadcasting and a BAFTA for outstanding achievement in television.
