Mission Statement

The mission of the Natural Products BioHUB Green Economy Centre (NPBioHUB) is to facilitate stakeholder engagement and promote innovation in the application and commercialisation of natural products.

The NPBioHUB seeks to establish a global network of academic, industrial, and civil partners, centred at Swansea University, and in collaboration with the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS) and the Centre for Agriculture and Bioscience International (CABI). Together, we focus on advancing natural product research, development, and commercialisation.

Principles & Values

The Natural Products BioHUB Green Economy Centre (NPBioHUB) is guided by the following core principles:

Policies and Expectations

Engagement with the NPBioHUB requires adherence to the following policies on professional and ethical behaviour:

Treat all individuals and organisations with respect, professional courtesy, and integrity.
Ensure openness, collaboration, and ethical conduct in all research and partnerships.
Honour intellectual property rights as established as part of any collaboration agreement or Memorandum of Understanding.
Secure prior written consent for the use of the “Swansea University,” “SAMS,” “CABI,” “NPBioHUB,” or “Natural Products BioHUB” names, logos, or branding in promotional materials.
Comply with all legal, regulatory, and ethical obligations, including but not limited to adherence to Subsidy Control Act 2022 requirements and relevant University policies.
Refrain from any actions that undermine the operations, reputation, or mission of the NPBioHUB, Swansea University, or its partner organisations.

Failure to adhere to these principles may result in termination of collaboration and disqualification from future engagement with the NPBioHUB.

Continuous Improvement & Review

The NPBioHUB Management Board will regularly review policies, procedures, and partnerships to:

Identify opportunities for improvement and ensure best practices are upheld.
Adapt to emerging challenges and opportunities while maintaining alignment with the Centre’s principles.
