Eat Well On Campus

At Swansea University we’re committed to providing our staff and students with the best foods to fuel their minds and bodies.

We welcome staff and students from all over the world and cater for many dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and halal. Enjoy Peruvian halal loaded fries or a tasty burger at Harbwr and Hideaway, or explore Tesco Express’ large range of international products at the Bay.

The rising costs of living are at the forefront of all our minds, which is why we work hard to keep the cost of food on campus as low as we possibly can. There are a range of meal deal options on campus from as little as £3.40 for crisps, a sandwich and a drink at Tesco Express to a warm jacket potato at the Hideaway from just £3.25!

If meat-free options are more your thing, there’s a wide range of products to choose from including a protein packed veggie burrito at Tortilla, or mouth-watering Vegan chilli to get your taste buds tingling – there’s something for everyone!

Additional initiatives are also run to support students having a healthy, balanced diet during the cost-of-living crisis. These include 'Too Good To Go' , where excess food from outlets on campus is sold at a lower price, reducing food waste and increasing access to affordable meals. Swansea University has also partnered with GoLeudy, a local charity running a 'Community Fridge'. GoLeudy comes to campus once a term, to distribute either excess food from supermarkets, or food that has been donated to staff and students at a reduced price (typically £2 for a whole bag of groceries).
