I have no background in Computer Science. Am I eligible for this Scholarship?
Yes, you are still eligible to apply. We welcome applicants from all different backgrounds, including non-computer Science. For people with limited, to no computer science experience, prior material is made available for you, as well as receiving excellent assistance and guidance from our team of experts.
Is the funding secured for the 4 year programme?
Yes. If you are recruited to our Centre, then your funding is guaranteed for the 4 year programme.
I’m a non-EU/UK student. Can I still apply?
Yes. This scholarship is open to both UK and international candidates (including EU and EEA).
How do I Apply?
To apply, please click on the Apply button at the top of our 'Home Screen'. There you will need to follow six steps, outlining what documents you will need to complete, before submitting your application.
Will I be expected to pay fees for this course?
No, your scholarship is guaranteed and fully-funded through EPSRC, so you won't have to pay anything towards tuition fees.
Where will I be based?
You will be based in our state of the art Computational Foundry building, on the Bay Campus of the University. You will also be provided with a personal desk space throughout your 4 years, alongside the rest of your cohort. This will allow you to be able contact and collaborate with various Academics and have access to our excellent facilities on a regular basis.
Will I receive a Stipend throughout the award?
Yes, you will receive a Stipend each year of the project, which will increase each year, typically with inflation. The Stipend is tax free and you will not be required to pay this back. The Stipend fee for 2021/2022, as set by UKRI is £15,609. This will be paid in regular installments.
