Please be aware that any scholarships or bursaries you may have been awarded will reduce the overall fee charge
As an example, if your fees charged for the year are £16,000.00 and you've been awarded a scholarship of £3,000.00, making your payable amount £13,000, instalments are set as 50%, 25% and 25% shown below:
1st instalment £6,500 (minus any deposit received)
2nd instalment £3,250.00
3rd instalment £3,250.00
No other instalment options are available, overpayments will count towards the next instalment.
Appeal against Withdrawal of study for non-payment of Tuition Fees
Enrolment Instalment
Students will receive enrolment reminders. Students who do not complete enrolment because they are unable to pay their enrolment instalment will be withdrawn in line with the enrolment regulations. Students may apply to suspend their studies by contacting their Faculty or The College. Should the student be able to pay their fees shortly after withdrawal they may submit a Permission to Enrol form for consideration.
Other Instalments
Students will receive automated tuition fee reminders whilst fees are outstanding. Following this we will be sending appeal forms via email, which students will need to complete and return. The appeal form will allow students to apply for an extended tuition deadline date if needed. If the outstanding payment is not received by the extended deadline date, students will be Withdrawn from study.
Non-payment of Tuition Fees
Students will receive automated tuition fee reminders whilst fees are outstanding. Following this we will be sending appeal forms via email, which students will need to complete and return. The appeal form will allow students to apply for an extended tuition deadline date if needed. If the outstanding payment is not received by the extended deadline date, students will be Withdrawn from study.
Provisionally Enrolled or Temporarily enrolled students are not part of the appeals process.
Convera usually processes transfers to Swansea University within 3 working days. However, please note that occasionally it may take longer. When making payments, please ensure that transfers are made in good time so that they clear before the relevant deposit or tuition fee deadlines. Please also note that payments from Nigeria may take significantly longer.
ACADEMIC YEAR 2023/24
All self-funded International students are required to pay a deposit which goes towards your course tuition fees. Your Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) statement cannot be progressed until you have paid your deposit (and satisfied any other requirements relating to your application).
International applicants are required to pay a minimum £4,000.00 deposit to confirm their place and progress to CAS processing stage, with the following exceptions*
*Applicants from the following states of India are required to pay the first year tuition fee in full (less any bursary or scholarship confirmed at CAS stage): Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, Telangana.
*Applicants from Afghanistan will be required to pay the first year tuition fee in full (less any bursary or scholarship confirmed at CAS stage).
*Applicants from Bangladesh, Ghana and Pakistan will be required to pay 50% of their first year tuition fee as a deposit (less any bursary or scholarship confirmed at CAS stage).
You must ensure your deposit payment has cleared in Swansea University's account by the relevant deadline.
International students can now pay their deposit and tuition fees using our payment platform powered by our partner Convera GlobalPay.
This allows you, your parents and sponsors to pay GBP student fees in the currency of your choice in a simple and secure way.
Restricted jurisdictions: Iran, Afghanistan, North Korea, Russia, Syria, Belarus, Venezuela, Crimea, Luhansk, and Donetsk territories & Cuba
