As a Swansea University student, there are many options available for you to gain international experience. Have you ever considered studying abroad for a semester or year as part of your degree? Or perhaps spending some of the summer on a volunteering programme or internship abroad? Follow the links below to search the variety of options available to you, depending on the course you are studying.
First year student?
If you are in 1st year in 2024/25 and are not already on a degree programme which includes a year abroad, but are interested in joining our waiting list for a year abroad in 2026/27, you can register your details on your waiting list. Please note, it is not possible to simply transfer degree scheme, you must apply for the year abroad via our waiting list process.

Second year student?
If you missed our recent What Happens Next event session, keep checking your emails for a copy of the presentation slides and make sure to read and review the Go Global Handbook to prepare for your semester/year abroad in 2025/26.
