UNSW

The University of New South Wales (UNSW) is located in Sydney, Australia's largest and most cosmopolitan city.  UNSW sits next to miles of ocean coastline and sandy surf beaches. Aside from it's enviable location, UNSW is of an international nature, with strong regional and global engagement and takes pride in being one of Australia's leading research and teaching universities.

Sydney is a safe city, with public transport connecting the UNSW campuses, beaches, and city centre.  There are lots of affordable indoor and outdoor activities to enjoy in Sydney: pop into a free art gallery, catch a movie at the local cinema, set off on a coastal walk, snorkel or surf at the beach.

If you’re up for a day trip or weekend adventure, the Blue Mountains to the west of Sydney, the Royal National Park to the south or stunning Palm Beach in the north are great for a getaway. And of course, there are those beautiful beaches to the east.

It will not be possible to complete a year abroad at this University if you have any assessments, such as supplementary or deferred exams, during the August assessment period at Swansea University.

Who can study here?

This university is not open to Swansea University students for exchange in 2025/26.
