The city experiences hot summers and mild winters, with very little rain overall.

ACADEMIC YEAR: The academic year in Azerbaijan runs roughly from September to June. Exact dates will vary between universities.
VISAS: Travel to Azerbaijan requires an entry visa unless there is an agreement on visa free travel with the country of citizenship.
More information will be provided by your host university once accepted. There can be significant delays so please do not leave this until the last minute as you cannot travel to Azerbaijan without it.
