Finland is in Northern Europe and has borders with Russia to the east, Norway to the north, and Sweden to the west. Despite living in one of the most technologically developed countries in the world, Finns love to head to their summer cottages in the warmer months to enjoy relaxing in their sauna, swimming, fishing and barbecuing. These log cabins will become a familiar sight when you start exploring Finland. Winters are very cold and dark, so packed your suitcase accordingly! Expect some snow as late as March or April....
