The University is located in Torun in northern Poland, which is one of Poland’s oldest cities and believed to be one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. It is two and a half hours drive from Warsaw. Torun experiences cold winters with temperatures into the minuses and warm summers which can be humid. An introductory polish class is available for all exchange students. On campus accommodation is available for exchanges students but is not guaranteed.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
COSTS: The cost of living in NCU Torun will vary depending on your choice of accommodation and lifestyle. NCU have also provided a guide to the cost of some items on their webpage.
VISA: You will require a D-type visa to enter Poland and for the duration of your studies at NCU Torun. As part of the visa application, you will need to provide evidence of adequate financial resources to cover the cost of living and more information will be provided by your host university once accepted. ACCOMMODATION: On-campus accommodation is available but limited for exchange students. Priority will be given to students who submit their applications via the IRK system before the 1st of June each year. NCU Torun does not provide assistance to students looking for private accommodation.
HEALTH INSURANCE: You will need to purchase mandatory health insurance for your time in Poland. You will be asked to provide proof of health insurance upon arrival.
ACADEMIC CALENDAR: Classes run from late September until July, depending on your exam timetable.
