Find out where your degree will take you...
Swansea University is able to offer you a unique experience to study or work abroad, with a range of options depending on your degree scheme. Select your subject area below for specific information and guidance. Options vary annually and may be limited by external factors, such as travel restrictions and capacity at partner universities.
- Enrolment on a programme with a semester/year abroad does not guarantee you a semester/year abroad placement.
- Spaces are limited and subject to a competitive selection process. In the event you do not secure a semester/year abroad placement, you will be transferred to the standard variant of your degree scheme without a semester or year abroad (excludes Modern Languages and Translation students).
- You will need to meet a minimum academic threshold in order to participate in a semester or year abroad programme.
- You will be required to provide financial evidence as part of the visa/study permit process during the academic year before your period abroad. The amount of financial evidence you will be required to provide will vary depending on your semester/year abroad destination and host institution.
- Associated costs of the semester/year abroad (such as travel, visas, host university charges and cost of living abroad in the host country) will vary.
- Funding may be available.
