Who we are
The UK economy has faced unparalleled challenges in recent years, increasingly requiring multi-faceted, pioneering solutions to safeguard and promote economic development and resilience.
The UK economy has faced unparalleled challenges in recent years, increasingly requiring multi-faceted, pioneering solutions to safeguard and promote economic development and resilience.
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Institute aims to unite academics working to examine, and offer solutions for, economic challenges in Wales and the wider UK – providing innovative responses through transdisciplinary research.
Our Institute unites members from within Swansea University with external colleagues, organisations and stakeholders, encouraging collaboration across faculties and connecting a wide range of expertise and skillsets.
What’s more, our Institute offers business research and consultancy services for a wide range of organisations. Let our working groups and individual members support your organisation’s strategic development, through our research, consultancy and advice.
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Institute provides a hub for enterprise and innovation experts whose knowledge and experience can also support and enhance research bids across disciplines - including science, health, and the arts. Our experts can offer invaluable insight for bids that require practical application of business or economic theory, demonstrating the economic case for a research project.
While also providing support to other research groups and bid proposals, our Institute will specifically craft transdisciplinary research bids focused around the following broad themes:
We explicitly use the wide skillsets of our members to interpret these themes in their broadest senses, in order to get research projects off the ground, and we also welcome suggestions from members, external colleagues, organisations and stakeholders to further develop collaborative working partnerships to build relationships for long-term projects.
