We have received hundreds of Hong Kong students to our safe and friendly campus for many years, allowing us an extensive network of very successful alumni. Entry Requirements for students from Hong Kong (SAR)

Clearing 2025 runs from 5th July. If you haven’t secured your university place yet or didn’t get the grades you expected, we want to let you know that we still have vacancies available, please do not hesitate to contact our in-country staff yi.yuan@swansea.ac.uk for more details.

Undergraduate Programmes:

Candidates are expected to have achieved the Hong Kong (SAR) Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) with minimum scores of between 554 – 544 and achieve a minimum of Grade 3 in HKDSE English Language or IELTS 6.0, with a minimum 5.5 in each sub score.

Postgraduate Programmes:

Successful completion of a relevant Bachelors degree from a recognised institution with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division (2.2) or CGPA 2.7 awarded with a IELTS 6.5 with 5.5 in each part of the test (or equivalent).

If you need to improve your English, please refer to English Language Training Servies (ELTS).

Please note that some courses may require a higher entry requirement. You are advised to check with the individual course or check the conditions stated in your offer letter.

We also offer credit transfer for 2nd year entry on some courses, please contact us to check if you would be eligible.

Swansea University International Scholarships

Swansea University offers a range of international scholarships to help the most talented and ambitious students to reach their potential. To be eligible to apply for a scholarship, you must have submitted an application to study at Swansea University as you will need your student number to complete the scholarship form.

If you wish to be considered for a scholarship, it is advised that you should apply to Swansea University as soon as possible to avoid any possible delays.
