Finland was a place I have always wanted to visit but never had the chance, plus I knew I’d mainly be there over winter so it was perfect time to explore.
The highlights were the number of trips and activities organised by university societies and the amount of people I met from different countries. Turku University has an amazing ESN society which organised many trips to places like Lapland and the Lofoten islands in Norway.
This was honestly the best year! It has made my degree so much more enjoyable and I recommend anyone who can to participate in a year abroad as you have experiences and meet people you never thought you would!
