Course Overview

This MA in Education enables students to analyse the links between policy and pedagogy, and reflect on the underpinning philosophies of education to enhance their own professional practice. 

The programme is flexible to allow for professionals at different stages of their career to further develop their professional competence and interests in education.

You will learn how to undertake and use educational research, reflect on your own practice, inform and enhance the way you work, and contribute to advancing knowledge in the sector.

Your Education Experience

You will study a set number of core and optional 20-credit modules, before undertaking a 60-credit dissertation project of your choosing in the second part of the course.

Varied modules include Research Methods in Education, Additional Learning Needs, Digital Education and Practice, Leading and Managing in Education, and Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment and Education.

Modules

Students starting in September or January will study the same core modules as part of the programme. Dates for January intake to be confirmed.
