Available Activities

We offer a range of exciting activities for Year 6 pupils in our target primary schools. Activities include:

Uni Explorers Day

Pupils are invited to visit Swansea University for a day of engaging activities, campus tours, meeting students and finding out more about who goes to university.

Teacher Comments:

“Great day. All the children enjoyed and loved the university environment. Many commented on wanting to go to university. Thank you :)”

Transition Workshops

These sessions are delivered in school and are designed to give Year 6 pupils a chance to explore their hopes and expectations of moving into Year 7, as well as giving them strategies for alleviating worries that they may have about the transition.

Teacher Comments:

“The pupils have a better understanding of the transition to comprehensive. It was lovely to see them share their opinions and worries about moving on.”

STEM Workshops

Our in-school STEM sessions are designed for a class of pupils to explore aspects of STEM in fun and playful ways whilst working alongside a team of trained Student Leaders.

These activities will inspire pupils, broaden aspirations and provide them with an early introduction to higher education.

Teacher Comments

“Excellent content delivery. Pupils were fully engaged throughout the session. They loved using the circuit kits and there was enough equipment for every child to be hands-on”

"The day gives pupils an insight into university life which they will never have had before and gives them an insight into a life poles apart from many of the pupils’ backgrounds."
