Yr 10 & 11 Subject Taster Days
Campus-based, subject specific workshops and taster days are offered to year 10 and year 11 pupils throughout the year. Recent topics have included Biological Science, Engineering, Medicine, Creative Writing, Law, Enterprise and Classics.
Bespoke workshops can be devised by drawing on the breadth of expertise across the University if a school would like something specific.
These curriculum-enhancing days give pupils a taste of what it's like to study a subject at university level, getting hands on with equipment and resources and working alongside university lecturers and students.
Teacher Comments
“The sessions were excellent and engaged the pupils. Also, the sessions were excellent in providing ‘new’ learning linked to exams. This day has been extremely beneficial to our pupils. It will aid their learning in school and facilitate their education."
