Over 120 delegates came together for the second annual conference of the Centre for Research into Practice held on 21 May 2024. The subject of this year’s conference was ‘‘Making a Difference’: Creating Impact Through Research and Enquiry’ and attendees were treated to a diverse range of presentations, discussions and poster sessions. Themes included wellbeing, community, leadership, as well as presentations from current PGCE students on their school-based research projects. Among the conference highlights were:

- Presentations from the Young Educational Researchers Network (YERN), at partner schools, who spoke about their research projects in their schools and communities;
- A visit from Menna, a dog who, along with her owner, works with a number of local schools to support pupils with their reading.

The audience also participated in a Research Carousel in the afternoon, attending short, five-minute presentations and talks, before moving to the next – which kept everybody moving and alert after lunch! We would like to thank all of the presenters and participants for a wonderful day of learning and networking. We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
