Overview

Supporting businesses to collaboratively develop new products and services to jointly increase productivity across South Wales

The Welsh Government funded Open Innovation Community of Practice (OICoP) project supports businesses to collaboratively develop new products and services and thereby jointly increase productivity across South Wales. The OICoP programme facilitates knowledge sharing amongst the businesses to enhance their knowledge sets and support the Foundational Economy in Wales. OICoP builds on the Developing Innovation Performance of Firms and Supply Chain Clusters (DIPFSCC) pilot (SMART Expertise funded). OICoP extends the DIPFSCC methodology to include companies across different sectors, thereby extending the benefits of open innovation to a much wider audience, building a community of practice (CoP) support mechanism which is underpinned by a proven, repeatable methodology based on contemporary academic pedagogical research.
