Course Overview

Navigating sustainability in today’s business landscape can be challenging, especially for Small to Medium Sized Enterprises (SME's) striving to make a meaningful impact. This short course is designed to cut through the complexity and provide you with the practical tools, insights and confidence needed to embed sustainability and responsible business management into everyday business practice.

The course explores key themes including ethics, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Well-being of Future Generations Act (Wales, 2015). The course offers insights into training opportunities and standards like carbon literacy and B-Corp accreditation 

Whether you're looking to future-proof your organisation, enhance your leadership, or align your operations with global sustainability goals, this course offers a focused, actionable approach tailored to real-world business needs.

COURSE STRUCTURE

This short course is delivered face-to-face over four half-days at Swansea University's School of Management, Bay Campus. It’s designed to fit around your working life, offering a flexible and practical learning experience.

First half day:
Introduction to Sustainable Development and Responsible Business within SMEs.

Second half day:
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): The Role of SMEs. 

Third half day:
The Well Being of Future Generations Act (2015) and The Five Ways of Working. 

Fourth half day:
Swansea University Carbon Literacy Training, certificate and e-badge.  Knowledge of accreditation such as BCorp.
