Corina Edwards is an established academic in the field of business management and has brought her industry experience into her work. Corina spent many years self-employed and running her own businesses before joining the University. This led to a wide range of voluntary and advisory work with young entrepreneurs and start-ups in Wales. Corina also spent a number of years as a senior executive for a UK-based enterprise agency and leading on Shell social investment contracts in Wales and across the UK. This includes Wales Director of Shell Livewire and UK Director of the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. Corina secured significant investment for projects, events and activities in Wales and the UK.

Corina is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation subject group and Lead for Professional Workforce Development (PWD) at Swansea University School of Management. She previously served as Programme Director for the BSc Business Management portfolio and as Programme Director for the MSc Management portfolio at Swansea University. She has current research interests in the teaching of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship pedagogy.

Corina created the first entrepreneurship modules for the School and more recently created the first foundation degree (FdSc) with BSc articulation for the School of Management. Corina sits on a number of senior Committees within the University, including Apprenticeship Steering Group. This forms part of a key contribution to School and University level strategy and diversification of income streams. Corina has also worked on programme validation for other institutions.
