About
I hold a PhD in Sociology from Cardiff University and specialise in digital sociology, research methods, criminology, media studies, and critical data studies. My research examines the interplay between technology and society, focusing particularly on the governance of digital technologies, citizenship, and surveillance practices.
I am interested in participatory methodologies and innovative approaches to exploring and facilitating societal engagement with socio-technical controversies.
My international collaborations include the ESRC-funded ORA consortium project Shaping AI: Controversy and Closure in Research, Media and Policy and ongoing partnerships with the Data Justice Lab at Cardiff University. My research network spans Europe and North America, notably Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Canada, and the United States.
