About

Eloise Williams was born in Cardiff and grew up opposite a library in the South Wales Valleys. She worked as an actor and theatre practitioner for a decade before beginning her career as a writer. Eloise is now an award-winning author and the inaugural Children's Laureate Wales 2019-21.

She has written seven books for young readers, Elen's Island (2015), Gaslight (2017), Seaglass (2018), Wilde (2020), The Tide Singer (2022), Honesty and Lies (2022), The Curio Collectors (2023), and is co-editor of The Mab (2022), a retelling of the stories of The Mabinogi which she is currently adapting for the stage. 

Her new Middle Grade novel is due for publication in 2026.
