Evi Tzika is a lecturer in Economics at Swansea University. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Macedonia in Greece and has previously held research positions at the Economics Research Centre of the University of Cyprus and at CEDEFOP – the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training.
Her research interests include, but are not limited to, applied macroeconomics, economic uncertainty, and time series econometrics. Her research work has been published in several reputable academic journals, including The Manchester School and Empirical Economics.
At Swansea University, Evi currently teaches International Macroeconomics (Level 7) and Applied International Macroeconomics (Level 6). Her previous teaching experience includes courses in Econometrics and Advanced Macroeconomics.
She is actively involved in the academic community, having co-organised international conferences and participated in research projects, including one funded by the Hellenic Observatory at the London School of Economics. She has also constructed the Economic Policy Uncertainty (EPU) index for Greece.
