Professor Berry Billingsley is the Principal Investigator of the Epistemic Insight and Future of Knowledge Initiative. The Initiative develops new tools and resources that bridge disciplines and bring people together. It also innovates new ways to think and learn about Generative AI. After a first career with the BBC working with Tomorrows World, Blue Peter and World Service, Berry transitioned to education, creating award-winning resources to engage young people in science and technology. Berry enjoys asking Big Questions such as "What does it mean to be human in the age of Generative AI?" and inviting students of all ages to explore different ways to answer.

  • Creative and ethical uses of AI that help people think in new ways and boost rather than reduce human agency 
  • How to balance the excitement of AI with the importance of in-person learning.
