About

Dr Jia Li is lecturer in International Business at School of Management. He received his PhD in Management and MSc in International Business and Emerging Markets from the University of Edinburgh Business School. His research interests lie in understanding the interplay between institutions and MNEs’ and entrepreneurial activities in emerging markets by integrating insights from strategy, entrepreneurship and international business. His research also includes firms’ exporting behaviours in emerging markets.

Jia is a Fellow of Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Since joining the School of Management, he has taught courses in management area for students at different levels. His specific teaching interests lie in the field of international business and strategy.

This module provides an analysis of the changing global political economy with a focus on the implications of these changes for business management.
MN-2511 International Business

The module will emphasise the economic, geographical, legal and political factors that make international business different from purely domestic activities. The module will provide a sense of the key issues affecting international businesses in regard to country specific political and economic differences, social responsibility and wider issues in international political economy.
MN-M527 Global Business Environment: International Political Relations
