SHT205 Working with Communities

This module encourages understanding of the potential contribution of human occupation in enhancing public health and wellbeing at group and community levels. The learning will consider occupational science and occupational therapy theory and translate its benefits and potential for occupational therapists working within community settings in local, national and international contexts. The module will encourage examination of the importance of social participation, social inclusion and the potential of co-production through the medium of occupational practice. It will introduce the potential for occupational therapists to embrace systems working with influential stakeholders including funding agencies and policy makers towards impacting on the lives of people in groups and communities, including those at the margins of the mainstream.
SHT205P Working with Communities

SHT300 Evidence Based Project for Occupation

This module provides an opportunity for independent and group study to produce evidence on a particular topic or issue of relevance to occupation and occupational therapy in practice in wellbeing, health and social care settings. This will facilitate acquisition of skills in collegiate team working in preparation for practice, alongside undertaking an evidence-based project linked to the profession of occupational therapy.
SHT300P Evidence Based Project for Occupation

This module provides an opportunity for independent and group study to produce evidence on a particular topic or issue of relevance to occupation and occupational therapy in practice in wellbeing, health and social care settings.
