Evidence Informed Practice
This module enhances learners¿ insight into research and evidence informed practice by building on previous knowledge and contextualising research to paramedic practice. The module reflects the pace of change illustrated within the wider health care setting and the need for continuous review of practice to meet the growing demands, expectations and importance of providing care informed by the best available evidence. The module offers learners an opportunity to critically examine an area of practice, conduct a critical appraisal of the literature and formulate concise practice led questions.
A key aspect of this module will be the opportunity for learners to understand the impact that research has had on practice within Wales and the wider UK. This will be facilitated by members of the Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust, who have undertaken research and created change based on the best available evidence. This opportunity will enable learners to understand the research process from conception through to study design, outcomes and impact on practice, delivered by those directly involved in the research. The module will be supported by e-learning.

Ymarfer sy'n Seiliedig ar Dystiolaeth
Mae'r modiwl hwn yn gwella dealltwriaeth dysgwyr o ymchwil ac ymarfer sy'n seiliedig ar dystiolaeth drwy adeiladu ar wybodaeth flaenorol a chyd-destunoli ymchwil i ymarfer parafeddygol. Mae'r modiwl yn adlewyrchu cyflymder y newid a ddangosir yn y lleoliad gofal iechyd ehangach a'r angen am adolygiad parhaus o ymarfer i fodloni gofynion, disgwyliadau a phwysigrwydd cynyddol darparu gofal wedi'i lywio gan y dystiolaeth orau sydd ar gael.
Mae'r modiwl yn cynnig cyfle i ddysgwyr archwilio maes ymarfer yn feirniadol, cynnal arfarniad beirniadol o'r llenyddiaeth a llunio cwestiynau cryno wedi'u llywio gan ymarfer.
Agwedd allweddol ar y modiwl hwn fydd y cyfle i ddysgwyr ddeall yr effaith y mae ymchwil wedi'i chael ar ymarfer yng Nghymru a'r DU ehangach. Bydd hyn yn cael ei hwyluso gan aelodau o Ymddiriedolaeth GIG Gwasanaeth Ambiwlans Cymru, sydd wedi cynnal ymchwil a chreu newid yn seiliedig ar y dystiolaeth orau sydd ar gael. Bydd y cyfle hwn yn galluogi dysgwyr i ddeall y broses ymchwil o'r dechrau hyd at ddylunio astudio, canlyniadau ac effaith ar ymarfer, a gyflwynir gan y rhai hynny sy'n ymwneud yn uniongyrchol â'r ymchwil.
Bydd y modiwl yn cael ei ategu gan e-ddysgu.

Professional Practice Development
This module will build on research understanding attained in year two and will further contextualise theoretical and practical knowledge related to the context of paramedic science. It will enable students to further develop research skills and to apply these within the context of practice. The module will enable the student to evaluate evidence based practice and look to the future as to where further research should be undertaken within a specific area of their professional practice.
The module will support students to retrieve, analyse and synthesise extensive background literature (literature review) to inform their selected research question. It will also support students to present an abstract and presentation of their research proposal arising from the literature review.

Datblygu Ymarfer Proffesiynol
Bydd y modiwl hwn yn adeiladu ar ddealltwriaeth ymchwil a geir ym mlwyddyn dau a bydd yn cyd-destunoli gwybodaeth ddamcaniaethol ac ymarferol ymhellach sy'n gysylltiedig â chyd-destun gwyddor barafeddygol. Bydd yn galluogi myfyrwyr i feithrin sgiliau ymchwil ymhellach ac i gymhwyso'r rhain yng nghyd-destun ymarfer. Bydd y modiwl yn galluogi'r myfyriwr i werthuso ymarfer sy'n seiliedig ar dystiolaeth ac edrych tua'r dyfodol ynghylch lle y dylid cynnal rhagor o ymchwil mewn maes penodol o'i ymarfer proffesiynol.
Bydd y modiwl yn cefnogi myfyrwyr i gasglu, dadansoddi a chyfosod llenyddiaeth gefndirol helaeth (adolygiad o lenyddiaeth) i lywio'r cwestiwn ymchwil o'u dewis. Bydd hefyd yn cefnogi myfyrwyr i gyflwyno crynodeb a chyflwyniad o'u cynnig ymchwil sy'n deillio o'r adolygiad o lenyddiaeth.

Being a Reflective Practitioner
Reflection in osteopathic practice is an accepted norm. This module is designed to allow the student to become a reflective clinical practitioner. It will consider the aspects of reflection-on-action and reflection-in-action and reflection-for-action. The importance of reflection in the clinical setting within other disciplines will be used as exemplars for personal development.

Academic development
This module aims to provide students with the key skills that are required to succeed in degree level six study in the discipline of osteopathy. The module will provide practical guidance in written and oral communication skills and the conventions of writing at this level of undergraduate study. There is an emphasis on building the skills necessary for independent study, such as critical thinking and analysis. Furthermore, this module will explore the importance of academic integrity and adherence to relevant policies and procedures.
