Philippa Price is a Subject Librarian for the Faculty of Science and Engineering, the School of Management, the School of Social Sciences and The College. She is available to support staff, students and researchers on campus, online and by email. Philippa deals with enquiries and offers taught sessions and one-to-one appointments on topics such as:
- Literature searching and effective search strategies
- Finding and accessing academic databases and other specialist resources for your subject
- Referencing and avoiding plagiarism
Philippa is the disability contact librarian for Bay Campus, acting as a named contact for support and information about the library services available for students and staff. She is Chair of the Inclusive Services Group, an informal network of Professional Services staff committed to embedding inclusive practice in university services. She also sits on the Assistive Technology Group in the university.
Philippa is a Fellow of Advance HE and a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP). She completed a PGCE in Post-compulsory Education and Training in 2013. She was shortlisted for Welsh Librarian of the Year in 2018. Philippa is a member of the Welsh Higher Education Library Forum (WHELF) Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity (EDI) Group.
