About

Rhiannon Pugsley is a senior lecturer in Initial Teacher Education, specialising in teaching Cymraeg within Secondary schools. With 16 years’ experience teaching in secondary and all-age schools, Rhiannon was an Assistant Headteacher at Ysgol Gymraeg Ystalyfera Bro Dur before joining Swansea University. During her teaching career, Rhiannon specialised in teaching Cymraeg in addition to Additional Learning Needs education and was an Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator for six years and a member of the Neath Port Talbot Inclusion Panel. Rhiannon’s career has also included roles as Head of Year, Designated Safeguarding Officer and external moderator for the Welsh Joint Education Committee (WJEC). Rhiannon is a qualified Access Arrangements assessor and is a member of Communicate-ed.
