Sian is a Senior Lecturer, Deputy Director of Postgraduate Research and the Admissions Tutor for PGR in the School of Management. Her undergraduate degree in psychology and counselling as well as her industry experience, has informed her teaching of subjects such as innovation management, consumer psychology and research methods. Sian holds a PgCert HE and is a HEA Fellow.
Sian is a member of the iLab Research Centre and is the theme lead for Global and Social Challenges, which is primarily concerned with the formulation and creation of positive impacts for individuals, communities and regions. Her PhD is in organisational behaviour and of temporary workforces. This is with a view to the retention of quality staff and employee health and wellbeing.
She has led several evaluation projects into life science skills, youth development initiatives and community cohesion initiatives such as Local Area Coordination.
Publications include several conference papers in AMCIS, ECIE, ISBE as well as book chapters in Entrepreneurial Learning City Regions: Life Sciences and Health in South West Wales: A Sub-regional Innovation Ecosystem (Springer) and Creating Entrepreneurial Space: Talking through Multi voices, reflections on emerging debates (Emerald). Sian has also co-authored several journal articles published in the International Journal of Information Management, the Journal of Strategic Marketing, Information Systems Frontiers, International Journal of Innovation and Regional Development and Frontiers on Psychology.
