About

I am a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at Swansea University. My research is inspired by biological and ecological topics, which I investigate by developing and analysing mathematical models. More specifically, in my research, I describe the behaviour of interacting species through systems of reaction-diffusion equations that incorporate either cross-diffusion, chemotaxis, or non-local advective terms. I combine a great variety of analytical and numerical tools to uncover the mechanisms behind aggregation phenomena observed in nature. I have mainly worked on reaction-diffusion chemotaxis models of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, such as multiple sclerosis, and on non-local advection-diffusion models describing the spatio-temporal distribution of interacting species in ecosystems.
