Our Students' Union supports over 150 societies
Swansea University has a strong campus-based student community. From visual arts to poker; real ale to gospel, the Students' Union most likely has the perfect society for you - and if it doesn't, the Union makes it easy for you to start your own!
Joining a club or society is a great way to meet like-minded people and make new friends. It can also give you valuable transferable skills for gaining future employment - especially if you take a lead role in the running of the group.
You can browse or sign up to a sports club or society at any time by visiting the Students’ Union website. There will be lots of opportunities to find out more about what they have to offer during the welcome period.
For the full list of societies, and for more information, please visit the Students' Union Societies page.

Hi, I'm Megan your Students' Union Sports Officer!
I am responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functioning of all 56 sports clubs at Swansea University. I recently completed my undergraduate degree in Sport & Exercise Science and have been involved with the Swansea Sirens Cheerleading Club since starting back in 2020. I advocate for sports enthusiasts, representing student concerns to the university. Collaborating with peers and staff, I invigorate campus life through events, campaigns, and projects. As a liaison between students and the university, I influence policies to elevate team sports and well-being. My leadership ensures robust athletic involvement, fostering a spirited, cohesive, and health-conscious campus community.
