Sasha spent Summer 2024 volunteering with Think Pacific:
"Volunteering in a Fijian village for one month with Think Pacific on the Youth Empowerment project was an experience that goes far beyond simply offering your time and skills. It was an opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture with weekly kava sessions and lovo (an earth-oven pit in the ground used to heat and bake food). I lived alongside people with different ways of life, and contributed to a community that was vastly different from my own. This journey of service and self-discovery left a lasting impact on both myself and the community. Nothing compares and it is an experience that will stick with me for many years to come."
Natasha spent Summer 2024 volunteering with Think Pacific:
I was fortunate enough to spend four incredible weeks in Navuniyamunu village. The warmth and kindness of the community made me feel like part of their family, and my time with Think Pacific is an experience I’ll cherish forever. Not only did I form lifelong connections with the locals, but I also built strong friendships with the other volunteers. Before embarking on this project, I was a shy and quiet person. But being part of the Think Pacific program changed that for me. Think Pacific and the village provided a supportive environment where I could learn from others and push myself beyond my comfort zone.
