HKBU Summer Programme

Programme dates for 4 week programme: 

2nd - 31st July 2025
 

Programme fee for 4 weeks is US$1,520 /£1,220* which includes:

• Free tuition
• Accommodation in a brand new Student Hostel on campus
• Day tour to Macau 
• Visa fees
• Theme park access
• Administration costs

* GBP fee is an estimate based on the conversion rate January 2025
 

Not included in the programme fee:

• Flights

Students may need to pay additional costs which are not outlined above.
 

Funding available:

• £1,600 for non-WP students
• £2,100 for Widening Participation students

FUNDING IS LIMITED!

You are responsible for making all payments required directly to the programme provider. It is your responsibility to confirm cancellation and refund policies with your programme provider and your travel provider.

You will receive the first instalment of your funding when you arrive overseas.

You will receive the second instalment of your funding at the end of your summer programme.

If you fail to participate in the entire programme, you will be required to return any funding received. You remain liable for any financial commitments you make to your chosen programme before funding confirmation and travel approval are confirmed.

There are two stages to apply to HKBU Summer Programme:
 

• NOMINATION: The Go Global team need to nominate you for the HKBU Summer Programme before 28th March 2025.  Email the Go Global team at studyabroad@swansea.ac.uk to request to be nominated. Once you have requested to be nominated, submit your online bursary application for funding to the Go Global team.
• APPLICATION: Once your nomination has been confirmed, you will receive application instructions directly from HKBU by email. Application deadline is 12th April 2025. Students who complete their application on or before 16 February 2025 will receive a US$50 (approx £40) meal voucher
• Bursary applications are reviewed regularly and we will let you know if you are eligible for funding as soon as possible. You will not receive any funding until you arrive in Hong Kong, so please factor this into your budgeting.
