Travelteer is at the forefront of responsible travel and ethical volunteering. Having seen first-hand the positive impact that volunteering can have on local communities, the organisation has created a variety of charitable programmes that utilise volunteer skill sets to make a real difference. Their philosophy blends awe-inspiring adventure with high impact volunteering while maintaining a safe, social environment. The projects all support Travelteer Impact (their Charity), where 100% of student fund raising goes directly to the projects in Sri Lanka, Nepal and Morocco.
You must be 18 years old to participate in all Travelteer programmes. Funding is only available for 4 consecutive week volunteering programmes. Optional tours cannot be funded and cannot be included as part of the 4 consecutive weeks of volunteering.
Programmes (4 weeks only):
Travelteer runs the following programme based in Morocco:
- Atlas Outreach programme – the outreach programme combines several sub-programme and takes volunteers to a remote community in the Atlas mountains to support with education, infrastructure, agriculture and women empowerment. Help with daily farming duties, improve the English language skills of local children and construct a Women's Association building plus more! https://travelteer.co.uk/programmes/atlas-outreach
Fundraising:
In addition to the programme costs, all participants are required to fund raise a minimum of £75 per week they volunteer. Volunteers who are doing a placement of 4 weeks or more have a maximum required threshold of £300. The money raised enables Travelteer to buy equipment and develop the programmes further. 100% of the money raised goes directly to the programme that you volunteer in.
