Travelteer Nepal

Programme dates: The programme runs from 1st June to 31st August 2025 - visit the Travelteer webpage to find the right start date for you. Funding is only available for 4 consecutive week volunteering programmes. Optional tours cannot be funded and cannot be included as part of the 4 weeks of volunteering. 

Your programme must be completed by 31st August 2025 for funding purposes. 

To secure your place on the Travelteer programme, you will need to pay the non-refundable registration fee.

Programme fee for 4 weeks - £1071 which includes:

• Non-refundable registration fee. 
• Accommodation
• 24/7 in-house support
• Transport between selected projects
• 3 meals a day excluding weekends

Not included in the programme fee:

• Flights
• Visa
• In-country airport transfers 
• DBS checks 

Students may need to pay additional costs which are not outlined above. All of the above figures are estimates and are subject to change.

Funding available:

Funding is available to cover the programme fee of £1071 plus an additional: 

• £500 towards additional costs - for non-WP students
• £1000 towards additional costs - for widening participation students

FUNDING IS LIMITED! FUNDING APPLICATION DEADLINE FRIDAY 9TH MAY 2025. 

You are responsible for making all payments required directly to the programme provider. It is your responsibility to confirm cancellation and refund policies with your programme provider and your travel provider.

You will receive the first instalment of your funding when you arrive overseas.

You will receive the second instalment of your funding at the end of your summer programme.

If you fail to participate in the entire programme, you will be required to return any funding received. You remain liable for any financial commitments you make to your chosen programme before funding confirmation and travel approval are confirmed

THE FUNDING DEADLINE FOR SUMMER 2025 HAS NOW PASSED (MAY 9TH 2025). THE DETAILS BELOW ARE FOR INFORMATION ONLY. If you wish to join the funding waiting list for this programme, please complete the funding application form and your details will be added to the waiting list. There is no guarantee of funding through this process.

• Apply directly to Travelteer for your chosen programme. You will need to pay the £175 non-refundable registration fee upfront to secure your place on the programme. 
• Once you have been approved to your chosen programme by Travelteer, you will need to confirm your travel dates directly with them. 
• Apply for funding via the Go Global team by completing our online application. FUNDING APPLICATION DEADLINE FRIDAY 9TH MAY 2025. 
• We will review your eligibility for funding and send you confirmation. 
• You will not receive any funding until you arrive in Nepal, so please factor this into your budgeting.

• The Travelteer team are always a phone call/email/ text away to answer any questions you have!
• They will put you in contact with any other volunteers at Swansea University.
• They will ensure you are fully prepared for your trip; helping you book your flights, sort your visa and even telling you what to pack in your bag.
• Comprehensive 24/7 in-country support is provided by the Travelteer team.
• In-country programme training is given at the start of the programme.
