UNCW Summer at the Beach 2025 (June 21 - July 21) is a 4-week study abroad opportunity at one of Swansea University's partner universities, the University of North Carolina Wilmington in the USA.

This summer programme does not form part of a semester or year abroad programme and you will not be able to use any credit received towards your Swansea University degree. However, it is a fantastic opportunity to spend time in the USA for 4 weeks this summer, study in the US eduation system, learn about U.S. culture, participate in UNCW programming, and explore the Wilmington community - https://uncw.edu/seahawk-life/support-success/international/students-scholars/prospective-students/summer-programs

Students must be approved by UNCW's Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) prior to application by submitting the UNCW Summer Interest Form.

The standard programme includes non-credit lectures on Coastal Culture in the American South. If you choose to take additional credit-lectures, these come with an additional cost and you will need to apply and pay for the appropriate visa.

You do not need to apply for a visa if you are not receiving credit from UNCW.
