This course offers you the opportunity to spend a YEAR IN INDUSTRY (UCAS H832), in the UK or overseas, giving valuable workplace experience as well as a salary that is currently over £15,000 on average. Support and guidance is provided to help secure your placement.

We also offer you the option to spend a YEAR ABROAD (UCAS H800) at a partner university which enriches the degree, giving you a valuable cultural experience which can broaden your horizons when seeking employment.

Your Chemical Engineering Experience

We have a number of advanced chemical engineering facilities to enhance your studies. Our modern Pilot Chemical Laboratory contains 15 pilot-scale rigs which cover a wide range of unit operations. Other state-of-the-art facilities you may work with include atomic force microscopy, fermentation rigs, surface plasmon resonance and hydrodynamic shear adhesion assays.

You will also benefit from a dynamic research environment where pioneering Swansea academics are leading the way in areas such as advanced water treatment technologies.
