EU, EEA and Swiss National students starting their studies in 21/22 who have Citizen’s Rights

EU students starting a course on or after 1 August 2021, must have settled or pre-settled status in the UK under the EU Settlement Scheme to get student finance. This does not apply to students who are Irish citizens. The application deadline for the EU Settlement Scheme is 30 June 2021, but students must have started living in the UK by 31 December 2020. It’s important that students are aware of this requirement before applying for student finance, otherwise they will not be eligible for funding. For those who do not have Citizen’s Rights the following funding options apply:

  • You will be classified as an international student and you will be subject to pay tuition fees at the international rate.

NHS Degree Funding
