If your passport has been lost or stolen here are the steps you need to follow:-
1. Report the loss or theft. Keep evidence that you have done this such as a reference number, police report letter or email confirmation.
- If you are outside the UK: Report the loss or theft to the local police.
- If you are in the UK: report the loss online and theft at the local police station.
2. Apply for a new passport at your embassy. You can find details of your embassy in the UK on Foreign & Commonwealth Office list
3. Update Hwb with new passport details.
4. Update your UKVI account with new passport details: -
Sign into your UKVI account, go to Personal Details then 'add new identity document' and follow the instructions. You must do this before you travel.
