SHE115
Anatomy & Physiology (1)
This module continues with the College of Paramedics¿ themes and domains of the curriculum framework and focuses on developing knowledge around anatomy and physiology of systems within the human body, exploring both normal and abnormal changes and how abnormal pathological changes are represented by clinical features associated with common conditions.
This module will also develop knowledge around drug calculations.
Learners will be supported with academic skills and expected to engage with the e-learning component of this module which will support their educational journey and prepare them for summative assessments.

Out of Hospital Management of Medical Conditions
Building on the previous modules and practice experience, this module will enable learners to enhance their understanding of pathophysiology and develop skills to effectively manage community based care. The module will facilitate learners to undertake a safe consultation that includes the broader issues of health and social care, enabling appropriate clinical decision making that meets the needs of the patient and their relatives or carers. Leaners will develop their understanding of health promotion, appropriate pathways of care and enhance their skills towards effective and safe management of patients within the community setting.
Developing problem based learning will be facilitated using a blended approach for professional development; with opportunities for learners to work and learn within an interprofessional setting.
Practice based learning will be supported by a week placement in a hospice and a further week placement within the community supported by Palliative and End of Life Care teams. Further placements will be undertaken on an emergency ambulance and or rapid response vehicle with the Welsh Ambulance Service.
The module will be supported by e- learning.

Rheoli Cyflyrau Meddygol y Tu Allan i'r Ysbyty
Gan adeiladu ar y modiwlau blaenorol a phrofiad ymarferol, bydd y modiwl hwn yn galluogi'r dysgwyr i wella eu dealltwriaeth o bathoffisioleg a meithrin sgiliau i reoli'n effeithiol ofal yn y gymuned a'r tu allan i'r ysbyty. Bydd y modiwl yn rhoi cyfle i'r dysgwyr ymgymryd ag ymgynghoriad diogel sy'n cynnwys materion ehangach iechyd a gofal cymdeithasol, gan eu galluogi i wneud penderfyniadau clinigol priodol sy'n diwallu anghenion y claf a'i berthnasau neu ei ofalwyr. Bydd y dysgwyr yn meithrin eu dealltwriaeth o hybu iechyd a llwybrau gofal priodol, ac yn gwella eu sgiliau er mwyn rheoli cleifion yn effeithiol ac yn ddiogel yn y gymuned.
Caiff dysgu ar sail problemau ei ddatblygu drwy ddefnyddio ymagwedd gyfunol at ddatblygiad proffesiynol, a bydd cyfleoedd i ddysgwyr weithio a dysgu mewn lleoliad rhyngbroffesiynol.
Caiff dysgu ar sail ymarfer ei ategu gan leoliad gwaith am wythnos mewn hosbis a lleoliad gwaith arall am wythnos yn y gymuned drwy gymorth timau gofal lliniarol a gofal diwedd oes. Bydd lleoliadau gwaith eraill mewn ambiwlans argyfwng a/neu gerbyd ymateb cyflym gyda Gwasanaeth Ambiwlans Cymru.
Bydd y modiwl yn cael ei ategu gan e-ddysgu.
