We are one of the UK’s longest established Geography Departments. Around 25,000 students have graduated from us since 1954. We are based in the beautiful grounds of Singleton Park Campus.
Our mission is to offer excellent teaching combined with world-leading research, in a safe and supportive environment where students and staff feel welcome and can achieve their best.
What makes Swansea Geography Department unique?
- We are located near the beautiful natural environment of Gower and Pembrokeshire as well as the galleries and museums of Swansea, and organise several field trips to these local landscapes.
- We are a medium sized department - large enough to offer choice, and small enough to know our students personally.
- We connect our global research to local challenges, working closely with charities, industry and third sector organisations, in Wales and beyond.
