The Health and Wellbeing Academy is a centre of excellence in promoting positive birth experience to women and society. The Academy promotes a variety of midwifery initiatives, and enhances the student experience by involving them in the fundamental aspects of the midwife’s role.
Our midwifery initiative promotes a culture of physiological birth and positive parenting as the norm. Our aim is to lead the way, through the Academy and wider midwifery community, in the drive for change within maternity services, to ensure all women have access to appropriate evidence-based care.
Student Midwives
Our student midwives support and/or run a number of our midwifery and parenting classes. They provide support and information pre and post birth to women and their birthing partners.
