The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023 is produced by global higher education analysts Quacquarelli Symonds. To compile the rankings, QS assessed academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact and ranked Law in the world top 150 for the first time in 2023.
Commenting on the results, Professor Alison Perry, Head of Law School, said:
“This is a tremendous achievement underlying the School’s reputation as a global institution and a great recognition of the excellent research and impact delivered by our colleagues at the School. We are so proud to have made significant improvements particularly in the academic recognition and employer reputation aspects of the survey.
At Swansea, we offer undergraduate and postgraduate programmes that aim to prepare our students to the needs of the ever-changing legal and related professions and this result is a pleasing demonstration that we are succeeding in that venture.”
This comes at a time when Swansea University has climbed an impressive 118 places to be ranked joint 307th in the latest edition of the QS World University Rankings 2024 - an indication that both the University and Law School are making excellent progress on all fronts, and this is now recognised nationally and internationally.
