At Swansea, apart from offering a contemporary and practice-oriented postgraduate legal education, we are committed to supporting our students in every way we can so that they could achieve their full potential.
For example, we offer an optional dedicated ‘Employability’ module delivered by Professors Soyer and Leloudas, alongside several guest speakers each year. We also offer several educational trips and mooting initiatives for our LLM students.
These initiatives combined with the fact that Swansea LLMs are well known by employers mean that students are exposed to opportunities in London and other large international locations. This summer many of our students ended up securing internships in shipping, law and tech firms, and several of them have already been offered employment before even submitting their final LLM projects.
To celebrate their achievements and encourage them at the end of Part 1 of their studies, we provide certificates to those who are top performers in their class. The certificates were offered after the Exam board this year to the following students at a ceremony by Professors Baughen, Soyer and Dr Kurtz-Shefford:
- Prachi Agarwal
- Alexandros Papazios
- Layesh Premraj
- Md Nazmus Sakib
- Megan Joseph
- MaryAnn Nnamani
- Williams Nwinee
- Otu Ukoyen
- Farah Binti Mahadi
- Oluwafemi Adenitire
We would like to congratulate them all again and we all hope that their success continues in part 2 of their LLM studies.
