Huge Congrats to Our Amy
We are thrilled for our track cycling scholar Amy Cole, who competed in her first world championship event at the UCI World Championships in Glasgow in August.
Amy joined top track cyclists from across the globe at the inaugural event in Glasgow’s incredible Chris Hoy Velodrome.
Acting as pilot for tandem partner Lizzi Jordan who is partially sighted, Amy was over the moon to get a bronze on day two in the Women B 1km time trial.
Some outstanding teamwork got Amy a gold on day 7 in the Mixed B Team Sprint together with partner Lizzi and teammates Neil Fachie and Matt Rotheram.
Amy who studies Sports and Exercise Science at Swansea University is one of over 90 scholars currently representing the University. You can find out more about our sport scholarship programmes here.
